Glenton Stuurman and Senuran Muthusamy to share Kent overseas spot

Kent have signed South African bowler Glenton Stuurman for their first six County Championship matches of the 2026 season.

The 33-year-old will be available for the season opener against Durham on 3 April until the return fixture in May, at which point he will be replaced by Senuran Muthusamy for the remainder of the red-ball season.

Stuurman has taken 21 wickets for Goldrush Boland in his homeland so far this season and has a career average of 24.05 in 82 first-class matches, with 277 wickets.

He has three international caps – two Test matches and one T20 appearance.

“Representing Kent carries a lot of weight, a club with a huge history in the game and a place where a lot of my fellow countrymen have made their names before,” he said.

Kent announced the signing of South Africa international Muthusamy on Monday.
