There was more Champions League knockout play-off action on Wednesday evening as eight more sides looked to boost their hopes of reaching the last 16 with wins in their first legs.
Newcastle thrashed Qarabag 6-1 in their first leg in Azerbaijan earlier in the night, with Inter Milan in real danger of an early exit after losing away at Bodo/Glimt.
Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid were hoping for no slip-ups as they travelled to Club Brugge in their first leg, with Bayer Leverkusen away at Olympiacos.
Check out our rundown of those two games below.
Club Brugge 3-3 Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid blew a 2-0 and a 3-2 lead to draw 3-3 with Club Brugge in their first leg at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Julian Alvaraz opened the scoring in the eighth minute, stroking home a penalty before Ademola Lookman headed their second at the back post for his third goal in five games since joining the LaLiga club.
But two quickfire goals from Raphael Onyedika and Nicolo Tresoldi at the start of the second half wiped out Atleti’s lead and put the tie firmly back in the balance.
Joel Ordonez’s own goal 10 minutes from time looked like allowing the Spaniards to return with a narrow one-goal lead, but Brugge hit back one minute into stoppage time Christos Tzolis to ensure the second leg will be a one-game battle for the last 16.
Olympiacos 0-2 Bayer Leverkusen
Patrick Schik netted twice in the second half to ensure Bayer Leverkusen took control of their play-off tie in the first leg with a 2-0 victory.
After struggling to find a way through in the first half, Bayer sprung into life during a three-minute period in the second, with Patrick Schick grabbing both – the first a cool finish when played through on goal and the second a flicked header from a corner.
