Both Everton and Manchester United are fighting for European qualification as they prepare to face off in the Premier League on Monday Night Football.
The Toffees currently sit ninth in the table and are looking to record their first league double over the Red Devils since the 2013-14 season following a 1-0 win at Old Trafford in November courtesy of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s winner.
A five-game unbeaten run was ended by Bournemouth last time out but they can go within five points of United in fifth if they can get the better of them at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Home form has been an issue for David Moyes’ side, having suffered defeats to Arsenal, Brentford and Bournemouth and drawn the other two in their last five on Merseyside, while they have also suffered more home losses to Man Utd than any other side in the Premier League.
United, meanwhile, are flying under Michael Carrick having won four and drawn one of their games since their interim boss took charge. Overall, they haven’t tasted defeat in nine league games.
The Red Devils can leapfrog Chelsea in fourth with a win and close the gap behind third-placed Aston Villa to just three points by winning at Everton.
West Ham did provide a blueprint to play against Carrick’s United in their last game though, with the Red Devils needing a 96th-minite equaliser to avoid defeat in the London Stadium.

Everton are without the suspended Jake O’Brien after a red card in their 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth, with long-term absentee Jack Grealish also missing. They could welcome back Seamus Coleman for the first time since late January.
Man Utd do not have any fresh injury concerns, although Mason Mount, Patrick Dorgu and Matthjis De Ligt remain out of action.
